Good to see others are posting. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you cross over into Israel be sure to check the times of the crossing points. I showed up at the Allenby bridge after 3:30 p.m. and got turned away with a simple, "bridge closed."

if you cross over at the Malak Hussein/Allenby Bridge into PALESTINE (it is, in fact PALESTINE, not Israel), you can usually go beyond the hours of operation if you choose to pay the extra baksheesh and go VIP.
Otherwise, call the bridge beforehad at 05.358.1030.
